Why you don’t need to pay thousands for a masterclass with Tony Robbins

Did you know that “96% of all businesses fail after 10 years?”

That’s a sober reality-check as I embark on a journey to create a money-making lifestyle (hopefully) doing what I love.

Ironically, I love my job as an in-house copywriter (it’s the best job I’ve ever had), but I’m acutely aware that I work in the travel industry, and the past year has not been so forgiving towards travel…

Therefore, I am forever fearful that one day soon, I will get the chop! Now, you can do four things in a state of fear: fight, flight, freeze or cultivate mastery.

But, you can’t fight or run away from the current pandemic, and to be honest, whatever you resist persists! Therefore, I froze for a while when life got too much, but I choose to step up and cultivate mastery and break free from the tyranny of fear… forever.

It’s early days in my journey, and who knows where it will lead. Perhaps travel will pick-up and I stay where I am. But I choose to share my current adventure and ideas as I cultivate mastery with people who care.

Even if that means I become a better as an in-house copywriter only (the things I am learning with Tony & Dean are priceless).

This is a journey of self-discovery, mastery and learning to take fearless action. I hope to entertain, educate, inspire and empower you to take uncomfortable action in your own life.

I’ve been in my comfort zone for too long, sometimes scared of doing things for fear of failure, and I have an obligation to share my knowledge (old and new). I joined the self-education movement years ago, but I have now joined the Self-Education Revolution. That means I can’t just continue to “dabble” with teaching Laughter Yoga when I have the time; it means I have to make the time to teach.

It also means I have to cultivate better copywriting skills, play full-out and become more courageous.

I am learning a whole new mindset from Tony Robbins, a very different mindset from the one I fostered with yoga and mindfulness (don’t worry, I’ll always be a peaceful warrior). I don’t have it all worked out, and I have no clue where to begin (other than at the beginning, LOL), but I’m not afraid to admit that I don’t have all the answers… yet.

That’s why I have invested in myself and paid to learn from one of the best mentors, leaders and motivational speakers on the planet. I don’t even have the money, but I can’t afford to stay in my current mindset either (it no longer serves me). The price of doing nothing is higher than the price of pushing myself to the limit of my potential.

I’m not going to learn by osmosis either! I’m gonna have to put in the hard work, push myself, and change a lifetime of stinking thinking. You know, the kinda thoughts that tell you “you’re not good enough” or “who do you think you are” or “you don’t have what it takes,” or “you’re not pretty or smart enough” etc. etc.

Let’s not focus on stinking thinking today, but let me share some interesting facts about the way we learn:

This is why I am sharing this knowledge with you. When I said on the homepage, “I am dedicated to making you the best version of yourself,” I wasn’t joking. But I have to make myself the best version first to serve you in the most effective way possible.

It will be my pleasure to teach and inspire you along the way. Please know that I’m not perfect! My life is not perfect! And I would love to be happy all the time, but let’s face it! That’s an illusion. I know how to cultivate joy, and I know how to trick my Reticular Activating System (praise Laughter Yoga), but it takes constant effort and uncomfortable action to cultivate mastery.

But from experience, the more you step out of your comfort zone, the less you need to trick your brain and nervous system to feel joyful, motivated, driven, and courageous. Therefore, I am certain that I can obtain these skills too.

That’s also why it’s essential to understand the science of momentum and what it takes to be an effective leader. According to Tony Robbins, “a good leader is someone who can influence the thoughts, feelings, emotions, and actions of others.”

That’s an exciting prospect because these things kinda come naturally to me (even though I have never considered myself a leader—I believe I can show empathy, empower, and gently push people, but I’ve always considered myself a facilitator—not a leader).

But knowledge alone is not power! Cultivating my obsession to help others, and executing my mission (to be defined) is where the power resides.
