Do you remember I told you that the key to success is turning that annoying, critical voice in your head into something positive?
I know it might seem impossible, but I promise—you can do it.
You really can turn your itty-bitty-shitty committee into your biggest cheerleader (or a sassy goddess who’ll “Sissy that Walk” if you prefer).
It all starts with paying attention to that little voice inside your head (there are also times when it’s deafening too). But once you pay attention and listen, you start to create a sense of awareness.
You might simply dismiss it a lot of times—or let it stop you without really paying attention.
Today, I want you to listen. REALLY listen. And then, write down what that little voice says to you.
I’m not going to lie; it might be awful to pay close attention. It might tell you that you’re a failure or that your goals are out of reach.
It might even tell you that you’re stupid.
Write down what you’re inner critic is telling you. Don’t judge it, and don’t read it over again. Just record what the voice says and put the piece of paper away.
You could even create a Botheration Box to store negative thoughts and concerns.
You’ll probably think about the negative voice during the day but try not to dwell on it. We’ll come back to it soon, and I’ll tell you how to understand what it’s really trying to tell you – and how it can motivate you toward finding inner peace and success!
