Why you don’t need validation to master the art of overcoming depression or burnout

Don’t let the world define who you are.

YOU are the CEO of your own life (no matter your background, job or education).

Sometimes, the world will make you believe your best gifts are your biggest flaws.

Sometimes you will doubt, self-sabotage, or stop believing in yourself.

Sometimes you’ll feel like you’re lost in the wilderness of darkness and brain fog.

But guess what? You’re already perfect (even if you feel broken or on the wrong path). 🥰

Don’t listen to noise outside.

Don’t question why external things happen to you.

You’re already perfect. 🥰

GO QUIET.

AND LISTEN.

Listen to the voice inside you telling you to lean into your gifts (even if it’s a distant whisper).

It doesn’t matter if you call it God or the universe calling (when you listen to your intuition, you will realise an invisible force guides you).

Lean into your intuition.

Lean into your core values and the beliefs you hold close to your heart.

Trust that challenges in life happen for you (not to you) to prepare you for a higher purpose.

Build your resilience muscles and strengthen your character (so the world can’t hurt you as deeply).

Learn to give your power away (you don’t need to control a single damn thing).

GIVE AWAY your love, compassion, care, generous spirit, concern, honesty, and vulnerability to the people you trust.

Become aware of the sneaky nature of your ego (so you don’t hold tightly onto the illusion you have to be right and Edge God Out).

Desire, rejection, dissatisfaction, control, and a need to be self-serving are the calling card of the ego.

Eckhart Tolle says, “The ego can be defined as a dysfunctional relationship with the present moment.”

In other words, your ego will reject and destroy the present moment (even at the expense of others).

How do you spot your ego in action? Your ego’s in action when you judge people or situations to be good or bad. Your ego will trick you into comparing yourself to others. Your ego will make you value being right instead of being open to the ideas, emotions, or feelings of others.

Give yourself the grace to realise that you don’t always have to be right (especially if it’s at the expense of others).

Access your vulnerability so you can become present and awake more often. You’ll become more available for your loved ones by being in the present moment.

Allow others to come to you and offer to carry the weight for you from time to time.

You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to permit yourself to be on a journey of growth.

It doesn’t matter if it takes you a million do-overs. All that matters is that you don’t lose faith in yourself or humanity.

Keep moving forward (one step at a time if needs be).

Keep learning.

Keep growing.

Stay humble. Stay joyful. Stay open to the universe.

And most of all…

… Stay kind (to yourself too) and allow your core values to be your North Star.

Remember that the world doesn’t get to define who you are or write the narrative for you—YOU are the CEO of your own life, and YOU have the power to produce MAGIC.

Love, light and peace. ❤️🔥🙏
