  1. You cannot change the current circumstances, but laughter can certainly make you feel better about being stuck at home

  3. Laughter reduces the levels of stress hormones in the body; such as cortisol and epinephrine
  4. Laughing increases the production of endorphins, the hormone which reduces pain and increases desire
  5. Laughter helps increase the doses of antibodies in the blood (immunoglobulin A) and increases the number of natural killer cells (NCK)
  6. Laughter trains the facial muscles. It nourishes the skin and increases circulation – and gives your face a healthy glow
  7. Prolonged laughter increases your lung capacity, and it also increases oxygen in the blood
  8. Laughter is a healthy outlet for stress, sadness, anger, fear, worry, etc

You don’t have to find a laughter yoga class to receive these benefits, you just have to find something that tickles your fancy. Watch your favourite movie, listen to a funny podcast, goof around with your husband or hang-out with your kids (and be sure to see the world through their eyes, and laugh along with them).
